You're Invited! Posted Thursday, November 19, 2009 by Sprokets
Gary passed this along....
You're invited to a reception for Andy Clarke, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists, at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. November 23, at River Trail Rentals in North Little Rock's Riverfront Park.
The occasion is the formal award of the League's designation as a "Bronze" Bicycle-Friendly Community to the City of North Little Rock. We'll gather at River Trail Rentals at 5:00 p.m. for refreshments and a "meet and greet" with Andy, then shortly before 7:00 p.m. we'll go to the North Little Rock City Hall for the formal presentation before the City Council. After the presentation, most of us will be trooping over to Cregeen's Irish Pub next door for supper and probably for more refreshments.
If you haven't thought much about what the League does to support bicycling on a national basis, this is a good chance to get caught up in the excitement, as well as to celebrate North Little Rock's hard-earned success... Hope to see you there!

Cows On Wheels - 1st Annual Heifer Bicycle Ride... Posted Friday, November 13, 2009 by Sprokets
Join your fellow Heifers for a leisurely, fun, family-friendly bike cruise through and around Little Rock and North Little Rock - on the bike path. Rain or Shine.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2009
10:00am-12:00pm
All Heifer family and friends welcome!
There will be two routes: "Easy & Long" and "Super Easy & Short." Both groups will meet up and roll back to HQ for snacks and drinks. Not a biker? Great! Volunteers are needed to herd the cattle and fix the grub. No bike? No worries! Let us know and one can surely be found. More information and the sign-up will be posted on HIP. If you’re interested in volunteering or have any questions, e-mail Jessica Ford or Jessica Clendenning:
