Arkansas Bicycle Club, Little Rock Arkansas
Thank you so much for the Ride for the Noses. It was a great idea and we sincerely appreciate it. The break-in was a horrible thing, but fortunately no animals were harmed. And generous donations and fundraisers like "Noses" are helping us recover our losses. Again, we appreciate your thinking of us, and being able to organize an event on such short notice.
For the Warm Hearts and Cold Noses...

BACA Meeting, Thursday, January 3, 7:00 PM Posted Friday, December 21, 2007 by Sprokets
BACA Meeting, Thursday, January 3, 7:00 p.m., Oyster Bar, 3003 W. Markham
Teresa Marks, Director of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, will talk about:
The Department’s new "green" building.
The bicycling & recreational facilities built into the building.
Plans to connect the building to the Arkansas River Trail by a new bike trail.
Environmental issues associated with bicycling.
The Department of Environmental Quality’s headquarters is the gleaming, new, all glass multi-story building you see from the NLR Arkansas River Trail just before the Big Dam Bridge. The headquarters location was selected in part because of its proximity to the trail. It is great that the head of the primary state agency concerned with environmental protection is on our side & has accepted our invitation to speak. Please come to the meeting to let Ms. Marks know that the Department’s efforts on behalf of bicycling are appreciated & that there is significant community support for those efforts.
It’s not too late to make your 2007 tax deductible contribution to BACA. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your contribution is fully deductible. Please send your donation to:
Steve Shepherd
2720 Charter Oak Road
Little Rock, AR 72227-3004.
Best wishes for the holiday season. We look forward to seeing you in 2008.
Ron Rizzardi,
President, BACA
