The meeting was held at Homer's West. We had a couple new people join us. Coreen reported on a grant application that Little Rock will be submitting very soon to convert Riverfront Dr. from 4 to 2 car lanes and into a nice corridor with wide bicycle and pedestrian lanes. The City is trying to do this. Support letters should be sent to Bruce Moore at citymanager@littlerock.org and include your contact information. These letters and emails will help support the grant application. Many of us will be away next week, but LR is expected to again consider the Complete Streets ordinance. Contact your council person that you support this for safer streets for all of us.
Steve Shephard presented information on the next Fondo, the last Saturday in May and the organization will be hosting a cook out in Wrightsville on the first Saturday in May. He reports that the community likes having bicyclists come through.
There was brief discussion on a possible ride to explore the Clarendon Bridge to help promote it and save it from being torn down when the new bridge is completed.
Many of the riders will be away for the BRAA next week. Some are only going for 3 nights, so you may join them if you don't want to be away the entire week. See the Ride Schedule.
We will meet at Homer's West on Rodney Parham, LR. We will have a discussion on the upcoming BRAA. If you plan to go, register for it on the Rides page. Start eating at 6:30 pm.
